PORTLAND, ME

A former half bath in a cold back stair hallway was transformed into a light filled master bath in this renovation project. Access to the back stair was given up, creating more space for the bathroom, while existing tall ceilings and a large window allow natural light to filter through the new glass enclosed shower to brighten the entire space. Shelving is tucked under the existing stair to the second floor and into the former hallway, giving the room plenty of functional storage.
