After growing up in the Midwest and spending my architecture school years on the West Coast, I made the shift to the Northeast to explore another region of the country and get some much desired hands on experience building a small, naturally built, timber frame house. Portland and Maine were totally unknown to me then, and I couldn’t have been happier when I realized that there was a vibrant architectural community at my doorstep. I immersed myself in it, spending five years working at Scott Simons Architects before branching out on my own.

In my own practice, I really love being involved in every stage of the design process. This allows me to get to know my clients very well and to feel a strong connection to both the process and the outcome. Seeing a project through from conception to construction is a very gratifying and exciting experience.
